**News Flash**

Well, folks, I am being transferred from our Calgary S/C to our Lethbridge plant. So looks like I am moving during the month of May. Therefore I will not be doing any dogsitting leading up to the move, as I have lots to do, with cleaning up, listing the house and showing the house.

Of course, AFTER the move, I will not be available to dog-sit any dogs in the Airdrie/Calgary area, unless you are willing to come deliver your dog to me down in Lethbridge.

A very important 'thank you' to all the dogs and puppies I have had the pleasure of taking care of over the past couple of years. It has been fun, and I know that puppy Cabernet (9mth olds) will be sad to not be having any other dogs to play with for a while, at least until I get settled into the new home and established in Lethbridge.

Welcome 2009 !!!

Happy New Year to one and all ! Hoping that 2009 will be an 'awesome' year to everyone!

UPdate on puppy CABERNET. He's the one that I kept, and oh, I must say, I love him to pieces. Even when he destroys my house. Between chewing baseboards, and walls and now CD's...oh the life of a puppy.....I still love him, and I am so glad that I kept him. He truly is the complete, 100% reason that I bred my Boomer. Cabernet has Boomer's awesome sweet personality, with is mum's (Callie) drive. I could not have asked for a better pup. Although, ask me again in six months...and we'll see if my opinion has changed !!!!  :)

Took some great pics last week of the dogs and the Hoar Frost. Will put them up, if they're not to big (pixels) to post. Wanted to get a few more, but is difficult when you have a small backyard and lots of 'yellow-snow', if you know what I mean.

Anyway, a great New Year to All, and keep smiling!

Puppy Update:-si

Brutus (Chardonnay) is now happily living near Kimberly, BC on a beautiful ranch. He is sooo much LOVED by his new owners (according to all their emails). It is a wonderful feeling for me to know that he is in a family that absolutely adore him! Oh yah...they have renamed him: TUCKER (great name, and it suits him!)

Chablis has gone off to a new home in Gillette, Wyomming (USA). She also has gone to a ranch. Apparently all is well with her. Haven't heard much back, so I should get an update real soon!!

Baby is leaving today (Oct 3) to live with her new family! My favorite dog-sitter, Linzie Allen is taking Baby. I will miss her sooo much, but at least she will be living in the same town as me, so I'll get to see her often, and hopefully at future agility trials, where her and Cabernet can compete against each other! I believe they have settled on renaming her : JUNO. They have been thinking long and hard about a name for her! She is already taking obedience classes along with the canines, Riley and Shadow, who will be her new sister and brother!!

Just a little note: Baby has done remarkably well at overcoming her earlier trials and tribulations! She is growing up and looks like a dog now. Beautiful coat on her (actually nicer than Cabernet's) and she certainly has her mother's personality and traits (the good and the bad!). She will be very well taken care of by Linzie, Adam and little Rowan. I am thankful to have found a wonderful home for Baby....(although there is a line-up of people wanting her!!!). Best of Luck to you Baby, and may me and my gang see you very often!   xoxoxoxoxx   (kisses and hugs!)

Cabernet is staying with me. He's  just like his Daddy (Boomer). Calm and quiet (most of the time), although he loves to bug Diego! Cab will really miss having Baby around to play with, but hopefully he'll get in some playdates soon!

It's Puppy Time...!!! YES...the puppies arrived on June 25th,2008. Callie did a great job (Boomer anxiously paced the floor!). Three girls and Two boys. Three blue merles, two black tri's. Callie was a great New Mom! Took care of her puppies and did everything right.

But, of course, there were a couple of hiccups. On day three one of the blue merle girls became quite listless, and was therefore too weak to have her tail docked. At that time My Mom and I had to take over the feeding as she was losing weight. Three weeks of endless feedings and she finally turned the corner. She is coming along now, although about 4 - 5 pounds lighter than the others. Her real name is Champagne, but we call her either Hope or Baby.

Also, on day 9, the black tri girl developed laboured breathing and that required a couple of emergency trips and that is when I learned the bad news that she had an enlarged heart and I had to humanely euthanize her. She was Chianti, a mirror-image of Boomer. Half white collar and snip on the nose exactly like Boomer, but on the opposite side!

The others, Chardonnay (Brutus)-blue merle male, Chablis (Sweetie)-blue merle female, and Cabernet, black tri male. They are all growing up great and it is so exciting to watch their personalities develop! They are 6 weeks old now (almost 7) Brutus is leaving next weekend to go home with his new parents. He will be living on a farm in Kimberly, BC. Cabernet and Linzie Allen will be taking Baby!! So....I've learned an awful lot over this whole process. The joy and the heartbreak of breeding dogs. But to see these pups has made it all worth-while. I will create a slideshow of the many, many pics I have taken.

Enjoy!!

...BOOMER FINALLY HAS ENOUGH POINTS TO EARN A NEW EXCITING TITLE.

NOVICE SUPERIOR VERSATILITY DOG

We've been waiting so long to get this title and I could not be any more proud of Boomer than I am! Congrats!!

Attended the 'Myra Harris Savant' Puppy whelping & Puppy Intensive Care seminar last weekend up in Edmonton. This was a fantastic seminar and Myra is a great teacher. I learned lots and will be much better equipped now when I am breeding Boomer and Callie.

Check out the slide-show of the pictures from our recent Oregon Gold Coast trip with the dogs!

Boomer and Callie, and 13 other pooches (6 of them week-old puppies!). Did a 4-day agility trial with Boomer. Unfortunately Callie was 'in season' and unable to compete! On the way back home we stopped in Lumby, BC and tried our hand at sheep herding! WOW, what fun. Boomer was good, but Callie was GREAT! I was really impressed at her skills and ability to drive the sheep, stop when told and 'call-off' when needed. It was so much fun and lots of thanks to Diana Gauthier for her hospitality and help in the ring with the sheep and guidance. Had a blast!

It's Summer, 2007

June 24th

Callie has earned her very first agility title. She earned that at the It's a Dog's World trial @ Tuxedo Park in June.It is her 'Tunnelers' title. (N-TN-S). So excited about that. Way to go, Callie

We've been heavy at the agility these days. Having lots of fun. Some local trials and some 'away' trials. It's always more interesting to mix it up a little and try some trials from different locales.

DogSitting Services

**Now Offering Dog-Sitting Services** (for limited # of dogs)

Have your dogs taken care of in a home-environment. I will dog-sit your favourite pooches in my home, along with my own dogs. All consideration will be taken to ensure your pet is pampered and feeling 'like one of the gang'. Dogs will be kenneled or x-penned when I am @ work to make sure that there are no adverse interactions or any 'trouble' to get into !

All dogs will be walked, unless there are reasons against this, and given plenty of 'free' time loose in the house. For this reason, no aggressive dogs and no 'intact' dogs will be accepted in order to avoid any problems. The reason for no 'intact' dogs is that I have a breeding pair of aussies and I want absolutely NO chances of any 'accidents'.

You will be required to fill in a 'questionnaire' so that we both understand your dogs needs. I will email this questionnaire to you once you have enquired about having your dog stay with me.

Records of vacinations are required.
